Physical Properties
A colorless or canary transparent liquid , soluble in organic solvents such as ketone﹑benzene and ester, insoluble in water. Liable to form polysiloxane through hydrolytic condensation and polymerize under overheat, light and peroxid. Hydrolyze when contact with water or moisture. Boiling point is 255℃.

Application Range
HP174 can react with acetic ethylene or methacrylic acid or crylic acid to form copolymers, so it is act as tackifier for polymers which are widely used for coating, adhesive and sealant in order to improve adherence and durability.
It is mainly used for unsaturated polyester synthetic materials, it can improve mechanical, electrical and transparent properties, especially markedly improve wet strength of PU, polybutene , polypropylene, polythene, EPDM, ethylene propylene rubber.
It can improve mechanical and wet strength properties when applied in fiberglass, rubber, cable and wire etc. It also can be used for surface treatment of inorganic fillers such as silica, talc powder, clay, china clay, kaolin etc so that when mixing filler with plastic, rubber and coating, we can get good wet strength and dispersion properties, improve mechanical and electrical properties after in wet condition, markedly improve processability of rubber products.
It is applied in light sensitive materials as additive.
